I just left my job at webMethods in December where they used to have free catered lunch, free snacks, free soda, happy hours and occasional birthday cakes. It was all great, fun and yummy but I think it caught up to me as I gained about 20 pounds total while I was there.

I set a goal to lose 20 pounds New Years Eve when I thought I weighed 195. I "lost" 5 pounds quickly after weighing myself accurately without all my gear. I lost 2 real pounds in the past 2 weeks before joining traineo.

Hey folks - sorry I haven't been around. I started 3 new contracts in the past 3 weeks. I also was at a conference for a few days. I was also sick a few days. Things are going pretty well but haven't had as much time (or I guess I have moved my exercise lower on the priority list.)

My weight seems pretty stable at 187. I also found an old life insurance evaluation from a few years back and it said I was 188, so I figure that's pretty good. I do remember my overall physical fitness was better then though. I think I need a better indicator of health. Maybe track my bench/row/squat (which are pretty weak right now) and max length I can go on the elliptical machine.

Oh yea getting about 7 hours sleep. We've got young kids who tend to wake up in the middle of the night, so theres some interruptions but not too bad.

Also - I have been trying to stretch more and also trying to calm myself when I feel stressed. The stretching really helps though its hard to quantify.

Hey where are you, bro? I haven't seen any updates lately.

By the way I get about 6-7 hours of sleep. 4-5 of complete REM. My wife is pregnant and I tend to not sleep well, because I keep thinking she'll need something.

Don't worry about other's time lines. It's easy to get the comparison-itis. Who cares how long it takes everyone else. As long as you do your very best and get it done!

Feeling a little low energy today... I stayed up too late last night. I think I need to get 8 hours of sleep every night. How much does everyone else get?

On the good side, I lost a pound today.

Hmm... I was browsing around other people's pages and seems like they have much more aggressive timelines than me. Am I being a slacker for having my weight loss goal be the end of this year?

j whit~ - Um, I don't think so. What episode of the show was that on? I enjoy the podcast - Dave Ramsey is pretty funny and has good money advice.

Nice icon btw - Optimus Prime, yea? :)
